Principal

Cory Eckstein

Cory Eckstein grew up down the road in Tallassee and went to college at AUM, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership, and is currently completing his Education Specialist Degree. He is a seasoned teacher having taught 5^th Grade ELA for nine years at Southside Middle School before joining Tallassee City School’s Central Office team as the Instructional Technology Leader for the district. Mr. Eckstein feels very blessed to be a part of the Redland Elementary community. 

He is married to a fellow educator. His wife, Hillary, teaches at Tallassee Elementary School and is the coach of the Tallassee High School Dance team. They have three little boys, Cue, Winn, and Porter.

Assistant Principal

Dalton Watson

Dalton Watson grew up in Andalusia, Alabama, and attended Auburn University, where he met his wife, Ellie. He later earned both his Master's Degree and Education Specialist Degree from Arkansas State University. He began his teaching career at Auburn Junior High School, where he taught Physical Education for four years. Watson then served as Assistant Principal at Pine Level Elementary School in Autauga County for 4 years.

He is married to Ellie Watson, and together they have one daughter, Lottie. He is excited to serve the Redland community and looks forward to partnering with students, families, and staff to support student success.

Administrative Assistant

Haley Fincher

Haley Fincher is a proud Wetumpka native. She grew up in Wetumpka and went to college at Faulkner University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. She then went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Instructional Leadership from The University of West Alabama. She taught Physical Education for thirteen years in Elmore County. Mrs. Fincher is thankful to serve in the same community that invested in her as a student.

She is married to Shane Fincher and together they have two children, Cord and Everley James. Mrs. Fincher is thrilled to serve in her new role at Redland Elementary School!
